CLINICAL SUPERVISOR, CHILDREN�S PROGRAM

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience: A minimum of two years as a License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). A minimum of one year direct supervisory experience, with proven clinical skills, leadership, and writing skills.
Knowledge: Knowledge of the theories, principles, and techniques of family, group, and individual therapy; planning, development and implementation of comprehensive treatment plans; principles and methods of community intervention and utilization of community and governmental resources; theories of human behavior and personality, and the techniques of evaluating and modifying that behavior, established practices and current trend in the mental health field; federal, state and local guidelines governing mental health treatment; psychotropic drugs and their usage; principles and techniques of diagnostic assessment and interviewing; social, psychological and physical aspects of mental disorders; and the principles and practices of supervision and management. Ability to provide effective supervision and guidance to staff, including review of casework and observation of established methods and procedures.
Special Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with consumers, staff, MD�s and other community professionals. Ability to work under pressure and with diverse cultural groups.
Typical Tasks: Provide individual weekly supervision for clinical staff, group supervision, monitor authorizations for yearly assessment, and assists in staff selection, training, assigning, scheduling, reviewing and evaluating their work.
