Internships (2nd year MFT/MSW)

Visions offers Internship opportunities to students in master level social work or marriage and family therapist programs. Under the supervision and guidance of an experience licensed and credentialed onsite supervisor, interns participate in providing counseling services to culturally diverse adults, children, and families. The practical skills taught in the field placement are designed to complement the educational goals of the intern’s professional school program and help prepare the intern for employment in the field.

Housing Coordinator

Visions Unlimited is looking for a Housing Coordinator for the Sacramento office to manage and oversee housing assistance and coordinating supportive services for eligible clients, including housing subsidies for permanent, transitional, and temporary housing.

Mental Health Worker

Visions Unlimited is looking for a Mental Health Worker to assist adult clients in meeting their expressed goals. The Mental Health Worker provides support and advocacy for and assists clients and their families in accessing and/or receiving mental health treatment, medical care, transportation, housing, food and clothing and vocational support as needed. Mental Health Workers counsels clients in individual and group sessions to assist clients in developing social skills, personal hygiene, budgeting, dealing with substance abuse and mental and physical illness, poverty, unemployment, etc. and travels to transport or visit clients.

Mental Health Counselor

The Mental Health Counselor is responsible for a clinical assessment, treatment plan and implementation of that plan.  He/She is responsible for case management, coordination of services with the psychiatrist and other professionals and support necessary to assist the client to attain a maximum functional level.  Inclusion of family members, caregivers, or other support people is essential to this process.
